reactivePatterns: Hong Kong | Academy of Visual Arts
Even though we are living in a modern and globalized world, the old tradition of using patterns to express identity is still alive and maybe more important than ever. Therefore students of the Academy of Visual Arts developed reactive patterns that are inspired by Hong Kong for the exhibition "Made in Hong Kong" displayed at the Hong Kong Museum of Art. They express their ideas and thoughts of the city in an artistic way and simply share their observations or raise awareness. Two of these patterns can be found on the large scale prints next to the entrance of the museum. The whole collection can be explored on this website.
